Value of the internship to the Intern:
The intern will be exposed to a wide range of business issues, and will get a close look at how a startup works. He/she will do real projects critical to the business, and will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the company.
Job Description:
The intern will report to the Director of Product. You''ll work roughly 9am to 5pm, though there will be as much work as you want to take on. Typical tasks could include competitive research, getting feedback from our users, analyzing data about our marketplace, working on newsletters and other customer communications, etc. We are a 20-person startup - there is no "typical" day.
Management Goals:
You will work closely with the Director of Product, the other Product Managers, and the Marketing team, on a daily basis. You will get plenty of feedback and teaching.
Special Job Requirements:
Some experience with programming nice but not a requirement. Familiarity with web applications and Web 2.0 helpful. Excel skills would be great. Be team-oriented.
